LN returns with a stunning new full length. The record is lush and beautiful, shimmering with the deep soulful vocals and the spaced out sounds LN is best known for. It’s melancholy washes of reverb and echo. It’s extremely personal and heavy lyrically. Frontman Gary Murray lost his mother just prior to recording and buried his father on the same day he sent in the final masters of this record. While he says the record may not be directly about those events, it is the environment that he was living in during the recording process. The cd comes in a classy 8 panel fold out digipak showcasing Murray’s other skill as a painter. The cd also comes with a postcard set and an LN sticker. This is the 216th Velvet Blue Music release . . . and it might be the best one.
